Shield Food Locker
PagerTec approached ITzak Technologies to build a reliable, hardware-integrated mobile application for its Shield Food Locker ecosystem. The primary requirement was to ensure seamless and uninterrupted locker operations in real-world food service environments where internet availability could not be guaranteed.
We designed and developed a native Android application that communicates directly with Shield Food Locker hardware to control locker bays. The application supports essential workflows such as opening and closing bays, depositing food orders, and securely picking up food — all performed completely offline.
The system supports two user roles: Owner and Customer. Owners (restaurant staff or administrators) manage locker availability and food deposits, while customers access assigned lockers to collect their orders securely. All actions are stored locally using offline storage, ensuring data integrity and operational continuity even during peak hours.
This offline-first architecture made Shield Food Locker a highly dependable solution for enterprise food delivery operations, enabling PagerTec to deploy the system across multiple restaurant locations with confidence.
